Sebago was born in and raised in Maine USA 1946. The name was inspired by a nearby lake Sebago in Maine. The first shoe, the classic Sebago &lsquo;Penny Loafer&rsquo; moccasin is still until the day mancrafted in the original way: handsewn as by native tradion with genuine leather with the biggest knowhow.
The first, by now worldwide famous, yachting shoe came out in 1948: the Docksides. Created for sailors, loved by everyone. In 1981 the Campsides outdoor line was launched.
The philosphy is still the same: creating shoes that represents the individual that they are as well how they live.
From the urban skyline to the endless seahorizon, Sebago feels the city (Citysides), nature (Campsides) and sea (Docksides) with their full range of high quality footwear. Linked to that, Sebago also created an unisex apparel line to present a full casual or elegant look.
